I Threw a Dart and Played Golf Where it Landed

A dart thrown at a map of the U.S. decided the destination. I traveled blind to play the nearest course to where it landed: Alaska Golf Club in Alaska, Wisconsin. A film about the random courses hiding in every corner of America, and the people who call them home.

The Shetland Isles is a chain of islands 130 miles off the north coast of Scotland, inhabited by 15 times more sheep than there are people. One of those islands is Whalsay, home of Whalsay Golf Club — the most remote golf course on Earth.

Nuuk Golf Club is nine holes strewn across the rock above Nuuk, Greenland. We went to the edge of the earth to find it. It's a story about community, climate, and isolation.

I was born and raised on the Gulf Coast outside of Houston, TX.

I lead content end to end, from concept and creative direction through production, edit, and distribution. I'm Head of Organic Content at Performance Golf and previously Head of Video at Random Golf Club. I'm based in Austin, TX.

The book I enjoyed most this year is Recursion by Blake Crouch (2019).

The film I enjoyed most this year is Burning by Lee Chang-dong (2018).
